The latest album. This album is my most pop-country attempt at breaking into the mainstream yet. For this one I actually moved back to my old high-school stomping grounds in Nashville, TN, the heart of country music, to gain inspiration, co-writing partners, and work with the best in the industry. It was also my first time working with an A&R advisor and recording songs that I didn’t write myself. I had publishers pitching hundreds of songs at me, and I scoured the offices of Nashville’s music industry to find songs that worked with my attitude and values. In the end I ended up writing about half the songs with the other half coming from my epic scores and I am really really proud of this album and love the songs we chose. One of the songs “Don’t Have You/Me Haces Falta Tu” we also released in both English and Spanish! The title track was written by an old hippie named Kim Tribble and his writing partner Drew Davis, but I swear they wrote that song for me! The album was recorded at County Q Studios in Berry Hill in South Nashville, and I was honored to work with some of the best in the biz including: Andy Leftwich, JT Corenflos, Smith Curry, Thom Flora, Mike Rojas, Dane Bryant, Dow Tomlin and others. The studio even had a yoga studio attached to it which I got free classes at while I was recording! Sometimes we’d even take breaks on long production days to catch a class! I’ve been slowly releasing songs from this album as singles and plan to eventually release the album as a whole. It was an honor working with so many legendary Nashville cats. The album was mixed by multi-Grammy award-winning engineer Sadaharu Yagi.
